Background

Prior to taking the CEO's position, Pinto was CEO of BM&F from April 1999 to May 2008 when he took office at co-CEO of BM&F Bovespa.

Pinto joined BM&F as an economist in January of 1986.^[5]

In July 1987, Pinto was promoted to derivativesclearinghouse officer, responsible for risk management, settlement, participant registration, collateral, custody and controllership.^[6]

Education

He graduated in Economics from Faculdade de Ciencias Economicas e Administracao de Empresas de Sao Jose do Rio Preto.^[7]
