The football ace was signing copies of his autobiography 'My Story'
Hundreds of fans queued to meet football star Steven Gerrard at his book signing this evening .
The former Liverpool FC and England captain now at LA Galaxy returned home to sign copies of his autobiography, My Story, at Liverpool’s John Moores University.
Fans of the year-old footballer queued up outside the university’s John Lennon Arts and Design building from the early afternoon.
Lennon Farrell from Southport , went to the signing which was organised by Waterstones bookshop with his granddad Graham Farrell.
Mr Farrell, 71, from Preston, said: “It means a lot to the little fella as he and his dad follow Liverpool FC, so this is a once in a lifetime chance for him to see Steven.”
